Play is how we find the idea. Method is how we make it work.
Showing spontaneous and undirected playfulness.
The part of the work where we ask the naive question, try the odd angle, and give an idea room before we judge it. It’s where the surprising things come from.
Places where things are tested, not assumed.
The part where we write the hypothesis down, ship the version we can measure, and let the results argue with our taste. It’s where the ideas earn their keep.
Marketing got split into specialisms. Brands got the seams.
A brand agency hands over a deck. A media agency runs the ads. A production company shoots the film. A web studio builds the site. Each does good work, and the customer sees four different brands. Ludic Labs exists to close those seams: one team that can set the direction, make the things, put them in front of people, and learn from what happens.
We’re a full-service digital marketing and creative agency, which is a long way of saying we take responsibility for the whole thing working.
Curiosity
We start every engagement by asking more questions than feels polite. The business, the customer, the category, the thing nobody has tried. Good ideas are usually hiding in an answer someone considered obvious.
Craft
Strategy, design, writing, photography, code, and media buying are all crafts. We hold them to the same standard: clear, considered, and made to be used, not just approved.
Disciplined experimentation
Every launch is a test with a question attached. We decide in advance what we’re trying to learn, measure it honestly, and change course when the evidence says so. We don’t promise outcomes we can’t control. We promise to find out.
Small team on your side of the table.
One brief, one team
Strategy, creative, production, and media are planned together, so nothing has to be reverse-engineered later.
Plain language
We explain what we’re doing and why in words you could repeat to your board. Jargon is where weak thinking hides.
Honest measurement
We agree what matters before we start, report on it without spin, and treat surprising results as the useful ones.
Start where it helps
Some brands need the full system. Some need one piece fixed first. We’ll tell you which we think you are.
Curious what we’d ask about your brand?
Tell us a little about where you are. We’ll come back with the questions we’d want answered first.
